Description:

Largely blue, it is almost identical to the more common Hagen's Bluet, and must be identified by critical examination of the terminal appendages. Told from bluets such as Boreal, Northern and Familiar by the teardrop shaped postocular spots and small occipital bar. Possibly can be told from the Northern/Boreal complex by the blue sides to S10

Conservation Status:
State: S1S2 Imperiled to critically imperiled in New Jersey
Global: G5 Secure globally, but possibly rare in parts of its range
