Sparkling Jewelwing - Calopteryx dimidiata (Burmeister, 1839)

Range & Habitat:
Occurs locally throughout the coastal plain, usually in the Pine Barrens.


Found along streams and rivers, usually near stands of eelgrass.

Similar to River Jewelwing, but the ranges are not known to overlap.

Global: G5 Secure globally, but possibly rare in parts of its range
