Description:
Yellow-tinted wings with black bands and spots distinguish this from other New Jersey odes. In typical Pennant fashion, it is usually found perched at the very tip of a grass stem or twig.
Immature Calico Pennant may appear similar, but the clear part of the wings is not tinted and the spots form a different pattern. Painted Skimmer is larger and the spots do not extend completely across the wing.

Conservation Status:
State: S5 Demonstrably secure in the state
Global: G5 Secure globally, but possibly rare in parts of its range
