Description:

Fully adult individuals of both sexes are blackish, with a small basal hindwing spot. Tenerals have a yellow thorax with black stripes and yellow rings on the base of the abdomen.

State: S2 Imperiled in New Jersey
Global: G5 Secure globally, but possibly rare in parts of its range
