Found throughout the state in a wide variety of habitats, it prefers still or slow moving water.

Description:

Our only small (some might say tiny) amber-winged dragonfly.


Females are superficially similar to Halloween Pennant, Calico Pennant, and Painted Skimmer; all are much larger.



Conservation Status:
State: S5 Demonstrably secure in the state
Global: G5 Secure globally, but possibly rare in parts of its range
